Like most people I've only seen and heard of Westlake for the famous kiosks at Plaza Singapura and Bugis that sells the 3 layer pork buns (kongbak baos)
Who knows tucked under some HDB flats at Queen's Road, there's actually a restaurant there that sells seafood, Peking Tim Sum, special Local & Chinese Food! The food served are one of the BEST I've tasted.
Look at how much food we've ordered for four person! Highly recommended is their Kang Kong. As I'm blogging about it, I'm actually craving for it already. :D~ *SlurpS* Their 双味豆腐 is also irresistibly delicious. On the left of the plate is six bean curds. They are like the Japanese style tofu but taste so much better with some black sesames on top. The other side is one big piece of bean curd with meats and sauce. The dumplings and 锅贴 are also very nice!~~
Lastly we had the fried steamed buns though we were already FULL. One have to order a minimum of 5 pieces and my colleague so cute bluff us that the size of the steamed buns are actually the size of the dumplings so we agreed to order lo. Who knows when it comes, it's the real big size one. The steamed buns are crispy on the outside and sweet and soft on the inside. Similar to those western stalls one but for this, it's not so oily. Sometime, the inside of the buns would be oily too but not this. I would definitely visit this restaurant again.
PS: Another thing that makes my day was that I was thinking of buying dresses and today my another colleague brought 3 dresses for me. Though it's second hand but they looks almost new and are quite stylish and fashionable. So didn't spent any money today. Dinner ate maggi mee. :D Hehe.
looks yummy =)
