West Coast Plaza - Dian Xiao Er

Considering that it's quite late to travel far, bf and I decided to go West Coast Plaza for our dinner. He brought me to eat Dian Xiao Er. This is my first and his second time eating at Dian Xiao Er. Sometime, you can tell what a restaurant speciality dish is even before you entered. In this case, that famous, must-try dish is definitely their herbal roast duck. They have 3 different kind of duck cook in different style with different herbal.

If you visit their website @ http://www.dianxiaoer.net/special.aspx you can also find a write up of their history and culture of duck roasting, etc.

This is their menu. Cool right? Like some 武林秘笈 from 少林寺。Haha.

The two dishes we ordered. Cabbage and Duck roasted with Ten wonder Herbs. Once you've tasted their duck, I don't think you will want to eat duck rice at coffee shop anymore. Haha. The skin is crispy, the meat is tender and the duck is marinated with a total of ten herbs (thus the name) and wine before roasting. This dish helps to revitalize the body but expectant ladies need to consume with caution.

The many pots of wine inside the restaurant.

Peek-A-boo

After eating, we shopped around to let our stomach digest the food. Saw this cute little corner for kids to watched movie inside. Currently showing "Kunfu Panda". Happy day today and bf actually act like nothing happened yesterday. He said he don't take my words seriously. Heng ah. LOL.
